AZZURRO is a highly commissioned international designer and street artist from Adelaide, South Australia born in 1994.

Since 2013, he has been responsible for countless public artworks and digital illustrations commissioned by local and state government, corporate and small business. AZZURRO artwork is known for being imagination-drenched, vibrant and futuristic. He oftens involves the community in the conceptualisation of murals. He uses acrylic brush, paint pen and aerosols to create immersive large scale street art. AZZURRO also paints live for festivals and parties and created an ‘ArtDome’, a giant climbable paintable geodome, for use as community engagement at events.

AZZURRO is passionate about marine ecosystems and has curated one group exhibition to-date, a 3-storey, 80-piece, 33-artist sized show in 2017 ‘It’s Getting Hot in Here’ exploring the environmental and socio-political-cultural effects of climate change on the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest through the eyes of emerging and established Adelaide-based artists.

In May 2017 AZZURRO went worldwide, expanding into Amsterdam and London with a commission by Clink Hostels to paint 35+ hostel rooms in a revamped Dutch laboratory and at the King’s Cross courthouse where Charles Dicken’s wrote Oliver Twist.

Next: In 2019 AZZURRO will be expanding into the realm of video games and educational materials as well as a debut solo exhibition in Amsterdam, NL.
